Plastic Modifier (METABLEN)


METABLEN is the trade name of modifiers, which have been developed originally by Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd. Adding a small quantity of METABLEN to various resins improves and increases their impact strength and processability, and further improves the characteristics, the appearance and the productivity of their final products.

METABLEN A-3000 is a modifier for thermoplastic engineering reins. It greatly improves the melt tension that is required in such processing as vacuum molding, form molding, blow molding, and profiling by minimizing increases in melt viscosity without sacrificing the inherent properties of the resin.

Features of METABLEN A-3000 are:

≫ Improves melt tension of the base resin
≫ Preserves fluidity of the base resin
≫ Enhances die swell
≫ Accelerates nucleation
≫ Improves modulus
≫ Improves HDT


METABLEN A-3800 is an anti-dripping additive for thermoplastic resins. Excellent dispersibility of A-3800 will be an alternative to PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). While PTFE has been used in conventional flame retardant plastics, it is inferior to handling performance and appearances of molding due to not-enough dispersibility in the flame retardant plastics formulation. < S type: Silicone-Acrylic weatherable impact modifier >

METABLEN S type has Core-Shell structure with Silicone/Acrylic-rubber as its core. The rubber gives good impact resistance at lower temperature and excellent weatherability.

METABLEN W-300A has Core-Shell structure with Acrylic-rubber as its core. The modifier gives well-balanced transparency and impact resistance for PVC.
