| Like many start-up businesses, Terry May had initially designed and
maintained their own website. However, with their move to a high-profile new
location in Citicorp's Atrium Plaza in midtown Manhattan, the company wanted
to upgrade its online presentation to properly present its expanded product
line. |
|
Prior to working with DataNet, Terry May's staff had been manually uploading
photos of their latest arrangements using an HTML editor. A key objective of
the new site was to upgrade to a Content Management System, that would allow
them update the photos of their latest arrangements more quickly and |
|
also
make changes to pricing and inventory availability. In addition to a CMS, DataNet provided Terry May with a custom e-commerce
system, a membership-based Terry May Flower Club that gives clients points
for every online purchase. |

| Champignon, a maker of fine German cheeses, was looking to expand the North
American sales of its products through its U.S. importer, Champignon North
America. The company felt its web site was outdated and the theme
emphasizing only its 100-year tradition and Bavarian did not properly convey
the upscale image its products deserved. |
|
Through meetings with the Champignon team, it was decided that showing
product images and packaging would not be enough to accomplish the goals the
client had for the brand. Instead, DataNet created a home page for featuring
a lifestyle setting of young people entertaining at home, surrounded by
champagne glasses, hors d'oeuvres and |
|
cheese. Champignon also celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2008, and DataNet was
called in to create a new website with custom sweepstakes applications. The
application had to record all entries and had to adhere to the official
rules such as preventing duplicate entries on the same day. |

| A&J Vacuum provides sales and repair services for turbo molecular pumps, dry
pumps, and rotary vane pumps. Their clients include scientific institutions
such as NASA, and university laboratories throughout the United States and
overseas. Because their products are highly specialized, the new website
had to |
|
function as an effective online brochure that presented up-to-date
information about their product line. A CMS was developed by DataNet to
help the client organize their equipment by manufacturers and types to make
it easy for scientists to quickly decide |
|
what they need to buy. A&J Vacuum
also consulted DataNet to create several micro-sites, to help maintain a
constant flow of traffic to their main website. DataNet also provided a
central CMS database "hub" that allowed the same information to be shared

| Sara Japanese Pottery has a retail store in New York City's Upper East Side,
featuring hand-crafted pots and ceramics created by Japanese and American
artists. For the past 18 years, Sara has expanded their business to include
glass products, bamboo, textile, lacquer and even iron, and the development
of their new website was a |
|
natural progression of their history and an extension of their unique Japanese-themed brand concept. To help Sara
develop their successful e-commerce, DataNet identified products that were
much more expensive than the rest - a few hundred to several thousand
dollars for a pottery - than the |
|
other, less-expensive, mass-produced,
high-quality ceramics. The design layout was completely customized to allow
flexibility in presenting these two different categories of products. The
site is integrated to a secure gateway to process credit card orders. |

| Stembrook provides financial advice and asset management. The principal of
the firm had a vision: financial asset needs to be managed with a consistent
investment philosophy through a turbulent economy, similar to the way a
sailboat must be guided through unpredictable waters in open sea. DataNet
developed a new website based on this sailboat theme to help Stembrook |
|
translate their philosophy into a visually appealing website. While many
financial firms prefer a more conservative theme, DataNet provided Stembrook
with a more bold design approach, utilizing the orange color and dark navy
blue for clear contrast. At the same time, the design also conveys a sense
of intelligence and experience to |
|
represent the brand image the firm
deserved. DataNet also provided Stembrook with a client log-in system,
allowing their customers to download Stembrook's proprietary market reports
in PDF. Stembrook can manage the PDF files from a customized,
password-protected backend. |
